Granite, Quartzite and Quartz are available in a striking array of colors and patterns. Granite is natural stone but mostly darker and it’s also best suited for outdoors. Quartz is man made stone and has a more diverse selection of colors and patterns. Quartz is stronger and more durable that Granite but it’s better for indoors than outdoors because the patterns fades in the sunlight. Quartzite is a fairly natural hard stone, but it’s less dense than Quartz and susceptible to easily staining in a heavy use area such as the kitchen. While Quartzite is harder than Quartz (and therefore slightly more scratch-resistant), it will crack with greater ease.
